The band can play new songs live
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich said that Metallica already has almost 20 songs for the new album. According to the musician, it's possible that new songs will be revealed at the band's upcoming shows, including Rock In Rio.
Lars revealed that a producer hasn't yet been decided on for the album, but the next phase will be taking the songs into pre-production. Ulrich stated: “The creative phase is almost over. But remember, 'almost' is in Metallica's timescale. When I say 'almost,' I mean a month, or more. There are a lot of things going on in our personal lives as well.”
Ulrich celebrated his bachelor party last weekend. The drummer will marry for the third time next weekend to model Jessica Miller, ex-girlfriend of Daron Malakian from System Of A Down.
