Through his official Facebook page, King Diamond paid tribute to his youngest fan who passed away suddenly this week at the age of 4.
"This beautiful King Diamond fan left us unexpectedly at the age of 4. She was a true fan, as much as you can be."
I saw her for the first time at one of our shows in Anaheim last December. She was on her father's shoulders, in the fourth row of the pit. Singing every word of the songs throughout the entire show. Making the "devil horns" sign with her hands and waving. She charmed me, and as soon as we left the stage, I asked our crew to try and find her and her parents so they could come backstage.
We had a long and lovely conversation; they were incredible people. We took pictures and spent some time together. And little Larissa shone like a jewel.
Unfortunately, that was the only time I saw her in person. But I hope to hear more about her in the future, by talking to her parents.
Larissa, I wish you a safe journey wherever you go. And I hope to see you again someday. You were so special and left us so soon.
Stay strong , little one, you are very, very loved.
King Diamond.
A fundraiser has been set up on GoFundMe to help Larissa, Jeanne, and Stone's parents. The message on the site collecting contributions ends with the following sentence:
"Let's rally around this couple. Help them feel love and support. And try to make the heaviest burden they will ever have to carry, a little bit lighter."
