Lamb Of God has postponed the release of their new album, initially scheduled for May 8th, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The band's tenth album, which will be self-titled, has had its release date rescheduled for June 19th. The band explained the decision in a social media announcement: “Sadly, we have to announce that the release date of our upcoming self-titled album is being moved forward by five weeks, to June 19th. We are in extraordinary times due to the current global situation and the delays in shipments of all essential items needed in the fight against COVID-19. After discussions with our labels, there is no option but to postpone the release so that fans who pre-ordered the album can receive the record they paid for.”
“We appreciate your patience during these times – a global pandemic isn’t something people in the music industry usually take into account when scheduling album releases, but as you know, it’s affected everyone in general, and we’re no exception. However, we will be releasing a new song, ‘New Colossal Hate,’ this Thursday, April 23rd, and we plan to release a fourth song from the album before the full album is released in June,” Lamb Of God added.
To conclude the announcement, the band reinforced, "Wash the drugs off your hands!", always good to remember, right?
