The EP will be released in December
Lamb Of God has announced that they will release an EP in December titled “The Duke” in honor of a fan who recently passed away from cancer. Randy Blythe, Lamb Of God's frontman, and Wayne Ford, a fan who battled cancer for 5 years, had been friends since 2012.
Blythe commented on the tribute: “Those who think about death hope to know how to die with dignity. But nobody really knows how they will deal with death once it comes. Wayne was an example to me of how to leave the world with grace. So I decided to write the song The Duke with my small insight from his perspective, and in his honor.”
Randy Blythe also hopes to organize a charity auction to coincide with the CD release, to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a cancer research institution.
