Lamb of God released their new single “Parasocial Christ” this Friday, the 21st. The song follows “Sepsis”, their first new track since the album Omens (2022) – with the exception of “Flood of Triton”, released in partnership with Mastodon in 2024.

“Parasocial Christ” is accompanied by a music video directed by Jon Vulpine , whose disturbing visual style reflects the intensity of the track. Vocalist Randy Blythe commented:

"The Information Age gave rise to the attention economy, an industry that moves hundreds of billions of dollars and is based on keeping eyes glued to screens, generating advertising revenue. Every second spent clicking and scrolling through trivial and/or sordid details of other people's lives—people you will probably never meet—celebrities, politicians, influencers—is another dollar in the wallet of some already obscenely rich tech mogul."

“You are a product being sold in a market you don’t participate in. The irony of you reading this on some social media platform or music news aggregator site doesn’t escape me. Still, I hope this song makes you reflect on who and what you dedicate your attention to. Screw the clickbait, put down your phone, go live your life—it’s waiting for you in what’s left of the real world,” he concluded.

Lamb of God also announced a North American tour for 2026. Starting in Maryland on March 17th, it will travel across North America, passing through cities such as Toronto, Portland, Albuquerque, Nashville, and Buffalo. The tour will end in Boston on April 26th.
