Lamb Of God announces band hiatus

Randy Blythe writes on Instagram

Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe announced via Instagram that the band will be taking a break from activities. In the statement, Blythe says he needs some time off.

The vocalist says the last three years have been very stressful for the band, likely referring to the murder trial he faced in 2013. Blythe was found not guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of a fan in March 2013.

Lamb Of God has just finished touring their album “Resolution,” released in 2012. Blyhte writes: “I’m not going to think about Lamb Of God. Touring, playing Heavy Metal, composing new material – I won’t think about any of that – for a good long time. It’s time to think about other things, let my brain calm down and be a relatively normal person for a while.”
