The Italian band Lacuna Coil has released "Save Me," the newest single from their upcoming album Black Anima , scheduled for release on October 11th.
Speaking to Billboard , vocalist Cristina Scabbia reveals that the song is a "silent cry for help" and that the album will address personal themes based on experiences the group has gone through in recent years.
“Save Me” has a lighter sound than what we’re used to hearing from the group, but according to Scabbia, the change is intentional. “We don’t want to be one of those metal bands where all the songs are the same. We want to try different things.”
