Last Tuesday, the 24th, the Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil surprised fans completely by announcing in a post on their Instagram account the release of their new song "Oxygen". The single will be released on October 2nd by Century Media Records .

Last April, the band released "In The Mean Time," featuring Ash Costello , vocalist of New Years Day .

Furthermore, in August they released another single, titled “ Hosting The Shadow ”, which features Randy Blythe , vocalist of Lamb Of God . The song's name refers to the not-so-good times we are living through and alludes to the cycles the band is currently going through.

In an exclusive interview with Wikimetal , vocalist Andrea Ferro  commented on the new album : “We’re in a good place right now. We have demos for almost the entire album. Almost, like, maybe two or three songs still need to be finished.”

“Obviously, we’ll listen to some of it and see if we still like it after the tour. We’re going on tour in April and May, and after we get back, we’ll listen to everything and see if we still like it, and then we can be ready to go into the studio.”

Born into a family passionate about music of various genres (more precisely, country music and Roberto Carlos), she discovered the good life of Rock and Roll at age 11 (she was Emo, but who wasn't?) through school friends, and hasn't stopped since. Hyper-focused (only on things she likes), she discovered genres that weren't popular at the time and became attached to them (yes, I'm a defender of Metal Espadinha, Folk, and Celtic). Involved with music behind the scenes and even on stage, she even played the saxophone (to play Kenny G). Currently, she plays piano and bass and fiercely defends the idea that you can be a metalhead (any kind) and cry to Corazón Partío. A graduate in Digital Social Media from Belas Artes, she is a Social Media Manager at a music school. She enjoys writing and defending her opinions so much that she became a contributor to the Wikimetal website's writing team.
