L7 released the single “Cooler Than Mars”, a protest song lamenting the effects of climate change and the negligence of those who have the power to actually do something about it.
Speaking about the new release, vocalist Donita Sparks commented: “The song was inspired by the catastrophic news about climate change and the strange passions of billionaire space cowboys to explore and exploit the outer limits of our stratosphere.”
“It seems to me that such obsessions and resources should be entirely focused on healing the Big Blue Marble. I feel there’s nothing “out there” that’s as mind-blowing as the biodiversity we have here on Earth. Because we’re colder than Mars, damn it.” Listen to the single at the end of this article.
