L7 has announced their farewell tour, titled The Last Hurrah. The series of shows will mark the group's farewell from the stage after decades of career in alternative rock and grunge.

The tour will be a celebration of the journey built since the 1980s. In a press release, the band thanked fans for their support and promised intense and memorable performances. “For four decades, the band has had fans on their feet with their blend of punk ethos, heavy rock, melody, sociopolitical anthems, and humor. The band is more than excited to connect with their audience worldwide one last time!”

Donita Sparks added: “When L7 decided to release a documentary in 2015, we thought maybe we could take one last triumphant lap around the sun by doing a few shows. Instead, that lap turned into another eleven years of touring, sweat, new music, and reuniting with the fans who made it all possible in the first place. Seeing the crowd and longtime fans enjoying the show alongside a new generation of L7 admirers was the most impactful and emotional part of this chapter. We are deeply grateful and ready to give our audience one last night of loud, fun, and hopefully unforgettable rock and roll.”

The tour begins in the United States on October 9th. Dates include cities such as New York, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles, where the initial leg of the farewell tour will conclude.

The band rose to prominence in the 1990s with albums like Bricks Are Heavy and songs such as “Pretend We're Dead” and “Shitlist.” This farewell also marks the end of a cycle that began in 2014, when the band resumed activities after more than a decade away. Since then, the group has released new music and returned to the stage.
