L7 and Soul Asylum will perform together this Sunday, December 2nd.

L7 and Soul Asylum will be in São Paulo this weekend. The bands will perform on Sunday, December 2nd, at Tropical Butantã. In addition, L7 will also perform in Rio (December 1st), Porto Alegre (December 4th), Curitiba (December 5th), and Belo Horizonte (December 6th).

Here are 5 reasons why you absolutely can't miss this show:

L7 returns to Brazil after 25 years.

The last time L7 was in our country was in 1993. It was during the Hollywood Rock Festival, which, yes, was named after the cigarette brand. Crazy, right? Anyway, the important thing is that this edition featured bands from the peak of the 90s. In addition to L7, Alice In Chains , Red Hot Chili Peppers , and Nirvana performed.

You've probably heard that Kurt Cobain spat on the Globo TV camera. It happened at that very edition of the festival. And 25 years later, we can relive the memories of the L7 girls.

It's also the first time L7 has come to Brazil after their hiatus.

After impacting the rock world, L7 went on an unexpected hiatus back in 2000. With the documentary *Pretend We're Dead* , they reunited and are bringing their tour to Brazil. The political engagement and revolutionary attitude of the members will certainly be evident in this comeback. Vocalist Donita Sparks already showed a bit of this in an interview she gave to Wikimetal.

Opening for the bands Deb And The Mentals and Pin Ups

Even the opening bands are unmissable. Deb And The Mentals and Pin Ups are two Brazilian bands from the alternative scene. Pin Ups was formed in 1988 and already has six albums under its belt, with a seventh planned for next year. Deb And The Mentals blends punk rock with new wave and released the album Mess last year.

This is only Soul Asylum's third time in Brazil.

The Minneapolis group was another phenomenon of the 90s. The album Grave Dancers Union went triple platinum, which propelled the band to become one of the biggest names in grunge. They even played at the inauguration ceremony of US President Bill Clinton. And "Runaway Train" live is just too good!

A grand grunge celebration

If the 1993 Hollywood Rock edition with L7 was considered the grunge edition, this is your chance to get a taste of it. Bringing L7 together with Soul Asylum is very exciting for any rock fan. An unmissable celebration.
