Kyle Gass , a member of Tenacious D , called on some colleagues to transform the Ramones' anthem "I Wanna Be Sedated" into "I Wanna Be Vaccinated," encouraging fans to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The video opens with John C. Riley encouraging “KG” to get vaccinated. The idea for the song came about because the musician had felt anxious before getting vaccinated, and after receiving his immunization he decided to encourage more people to do the same.
Next, we see Jack Black , Gass's bandmate, dressed as a nurse and holding two syringes. In addition to him, Kyle called Toto , Steve Lukather Evanescence 's vocalist , Amy Lee , who appears accompanied by her son, Jack.
