Kvelertak will release their new album, Splid , in 2020 and has already released the first single, “Bråtebrann”.
The seven-minute track navigates between heavy metal, punk, and rock and roll.
After releasing Nattesferd in 2016, the band underwent its first lineup change since 2009. Vocalist Erlend Hjelvik left the group and Ivar Nikolaisen . Splid , therefore, marks the first work with the new vocalist.
“ Splid (which in Portuguese means “discord”) is a deep dive into Western gluttony, our stupidity, and the abysses of the Earth,” said the vocalist.
The new album will be released on February 14th. Listen to the new track below:
