Nirvana: Kurt Cobain's sweater worn on MTV Unplugged is up for auction again, fetching 1 million reais.

The piece was first auctioned in 2015 for US$137,500

For the second time in four years, the green sweater worn by Kurt Cobain Nirvana 's MTV Unplugged performance will go up for auction without ever having been washed.

“It’s very important not to wash it,” Darren Julien of Julien’s Auctions told Rolling Stone. “The stains are still there. There are even cigarette burns you can see on the sweater.”

The current owner, who prefers to remain anonymous, has kept the item stored in a safe since 2015, when he acquired it for US$137,500. The sweater will be auctioned again on October 25th with a minimum bid of US$200,000. According to Julien, he expects to receive bids exceeding US$300,000.

In Utero tour , accompanied by a letter from Courtney Love stating that the instrument was one of the musician's favorites.
