Before he died, Kurt Cobain never wrote an autobiography. But the musician left behind a series of diaries that were compiled into the collection Journals , which is being released in Brazil for the first time, 19 years after its initial publication.

Featuring reflections on Nirvana , song lyrics, drawings, and thoughts on fame and relationships with people in the music industry, Cobain's writings will be published in Portuguese by Belas Letras . Drafts of songs such as "Come as You Are," "In Bloom," "Lithium," and "On a Plain" are included.

"This is the best and most precious portrait of Kurt Cobain's life and thoughts, which he himself wrote by hand without imagining that one day it would become a document for rock history and a gift to millions of Nirvana's orphans," describes the publisher.

The book "Diaries" has a bilingual edition, as it retains the author's original English entries alongside the translation. It is now available for pre-order .
