The first performance was by Neptunn, who took the stage at 7:30 PM. The band, with a unique lineup including a female vocalist and a bassist, was a pleasant surprise with its ability to alternate between fast riffs and more measured moments, maintaining a constant and engaging energy. The technical execution, combined with an agile sequence between tracks, captivated the audience and impressed even those unfamiliar with the group's work.
At 8:30 PM, it was Pentagram's turn. Coming directly from Chile, the band brought a classic lineup — two guitars, bass, and drums — and used this structural simplicity to deliver an intense and energetic show. Focused on presenting their most emblematic songs, the musicians captivated the audience from the first chords, creating a vibrant atmosphere that showcased the international reach of South American metal.
Both performances were met with a warm reception, even as the audience was still entering the venue. The immediate interest from those present demonstrated the power of the performances, with many being instantly captivated by the music. This connection was essential in setting the stage for the main show, reaffirming the crucial role of opening bands on a night of high-level metal.
The diversity and quality presented by Neptunn and Pentagram solidified the opening act as an integral part of the experience, further raising expectations for the shows to come.
After the opening act, it was the turn of the giants of Brazilian death metal, Krisiun, to take over the Opinião stage. And it wasn't just another show in their extensive career. For the band, whose roots are firmly planted in Ijuí, playing in Porto Alegre is always special, something like returning to their origins. This deep connection was evident in every moment of the show, transforming it into an intense celebration, both for the musicians and the audience.
From the start, the vibe was different; the energy in the place was almost tangible. The audience, in turn, responded with the same intensity. The trio formed by Alex Camargo , Moyses Kolesne , and Max Kolesne seemed determined to deliver a performance that was not only technical but also full of emotion and vigor. This determination was evident in the way the band performed each song, making it clear that "playing at home" is much more than a matter of geography: it's an experience of communion with their most passionate fans.
The setlist was a true masterclass in death metal, including absolute classics such as “Kings of Killing”, “Serpent Messiah”, “Blood of Lions”, “Vengeance's Revelation”, among other tracks that marked the band's history. Each song was received with growing enthusiasm, and the intensity of the crowd only increased with each riff and blast beat. In the middle of the floor, mosh pits quickly formed, reflecting the impact of the music on those present.
Krisiun's performance on stage was complete. It was marked not only by the technical precision that is the band's trademark, but also by the visceral energy that seemed to infect every corner of Opinião. The audience, in turn, responded in kind, singing, shouting, and throwing themselves onto the dance floor with a passion that only a band with local roots could inspire.
At the end of the show, the vocalist came down from the stage and approached the audience, dedicating a few minutes to talking with the fans. This gesture of humility and gratitude was the finishing touch to an already memorable night, reinforcing the special relationship that Krisiun maintains with its followers.
