The tour promoting Mortem Solis , from 2022, has barely ended and the Brazilian death metal trio, Krisiun, is already embarking on another world tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their third studio album, Conquerors of Armageddon.
And when we say around the world, it's no exaggeration. The tour begins this Friday, April 18th, in Goiânia and the following day in Brasília. Also in April, the band starts the European leg, plays a show in May in the USA, and returns to the old continent to participate in the biggest metal festivals in the world during the European summer, including Wacken 2025. Almost without rest, in August they will play five dates in Asia. These will be shows in Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Malaysia.
The importance of Conquerors of Armageddon in Krisiun's career.
Despite having released two classic albums before – Black Force Domain (1995) and Apocalyptic Revelation (1998) – Krisiun gained worldwide recognition with Conquerors of Armageddon. Their third studio album, released in 2000 and therefore celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025, was the first released by Century Media Records , the label to which the Brazilian trio has been part of and which has released all their subsequent works since then.
The album is truly a milestone in Krisiun's career, not only for hits like "Messiah's Abomination" and the title track itself, but also for bringing together a combination of factors that led the band to be recognized as one of the greatest representatives of world metal. Production was handled by Erik Rutan (guitarist of Morbid Angel ) and Andy Classen , who, among others, produced works for bands like Rotting Christ and Holy Moses . And the cover art and visual identity were designed by none other than Joe Petagno , the artist who designed covers for bands like Led Zeppelin, Nazareth , and Motörhead.
The tour promoting this album included over 120 shows in the United States and Europe alone, and in addition to having monumental audiences, they also had the opportunity to share the stage with idols like Slayer and Iron Maiden . It was also the tour that covered all regions of Brazil – something Krisiun has always strived to do, having as many states and cities in the country as possible represented in their performances. This explains why they are so revered by fans both inside and outside of Brazil. The complete schedule for the Conquerors of Armageddon is already available on the band's social media.
