With a sold-out show scheduled in Bangladesh today, the Brazilian bands Krisiun and Nervochaos were barred from entering the airport and forced to cancel their performance. Rumors spread that the cancellation occurred because the authorities considered the type of music 'satanic', but nothing has been confirmed by the production company.
Metal Media's PR agency made a post on Facebook explaining everything that has been clarified so far:
“Both bands are at a hotel, meaning they have already left the airport. They are still in Bangladesh.
They are receiving invaluable help from the Brazilian consulate in the country.
Any information beyond this, spread through social media, is not official.
We will update as soon as new information becomes available; we are in direct contact.”
The venue's founder shared the news on social media, writing that the cancellation occurred for "security reasons."
