Eddie Van Halen's guitar, "Kramer," is going up for auction and could fetch over 16 million reais.

The model was used on a tour that passed through Brazil in the 80s.

The legendary "Kramer" guitar, which belonged to guitarist Eddie Van Halen , will be auctioned on October 28th by Sotheby's in New York. The instrument could fetch over US$3 million (approximately R$16 million).

Van Halen 's 1982 and 1983 tours . During that time, the group performed in Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, and the United States. Furthermore, Eddie gifted the guitar to his roadie and longtime friend Robin Leiren , who later sold it to former Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars , who used it to record the album Dr. Feelgood (1989). This isn't the first Van Halen guitar to go up for auction at the auction house. In 2023, the company received $3.992 million (approximately R$22 million) for a model that appeared in the 1984 music video for "Hot for Teacher." "Kramer" will be on display in California between August 13th and 16th. It will be the first time in four decades that the guitar has been seen in public.
