In December 2019, Korzus received a great tribute from Maurício Panzone . The creator of the fanzine Mayhem followed the metal scene in the country for years, and now his memories and knowledge about the group have been compiled into a single publication entitled Korzus: Warriors of Metal .
“The band is a pioneer in the style and one of the great representatives of the 'metal' scene in the country, deserving a recording of this caliber,” says Maurício. “'Guerreiros do Metal' (Warriors of Metal) is a title that perfectly represents their entire history, remembering that it refers to the song recorded by the band on the historic compilation SP Metal II from Baratos Afins, where they first appeared,” he explains.
To celebrate the launch, the group hosted colleagues from the press and friends for an autograph session at Woodstock Discos in São Paulo on the 14th. “The turnout was so great that in less than three hours the Woodstock specialty beers were gone (…) The chosen location couldn't have been better.”
The book tells the story of Korzus in chronological order and was created from the author's experience with the band and interviews conducted with about 70 people. In addition, " Warriors of Metal" features previously unpublished photos of the band's various lineups, concert posters, badges, and more. "It's been a long time since we've seen 'our scene' documented in a book," commented Maurício Panzone, proud and happy with his work.
