Korn will not be performing at the Backbone in Brasília, scheduled for August 30th. This information was leaked by members of the band Supercombo during a live broadcast on 89 FM , a rock radio station . The band, which is scheduled to play at the same event, let slip information about the potential headliner.

In the video, when a band member mentions a possible healer, the production team turns off the microphone to find out the name. As soon as the microphone is turned back on, someone says, "I used to have a Korn cover band when I was younger."

However, the festival organizers stated that Korn will not be performing, through a text published on social media on Tuesday morning, the 15th. Read the statement below:

"The Backbone Festival production team would like to clarify the recent speculation circulating among the public. In fact, there were initial talks with several prominent nu metal bands, but due to bureaucratic issues, negotiations did not progress as expected for the band in question."

However, we still have pre-contracts signed with two major international bands in the genre, in addition to new negotiations that are still underway.

We reiterate that the information released through the festival's official channels is valid. Our commitment is to deliver a unique, accessible, and high-level experience to the public in the Federal District and throughout Brazil. The Backbone Festival goes beyond music: it supports social and cultural causes, animal protection, and much more.

We didn't reach an agreement with Korn. However, the band is still in our plans for the coming years, and new negotiations have already begun.
