On February 4th, Korn released their highly anticipated 14th studio album, Requiem . Despite a good chart position, this was the band's worst debut in 25 years.
Selling 20,000 copies in its release week, of which 14,000 were physical copies, the album debuted at number 14 Billboard 200. This is the first time Korn has fallen outside the Top 10 since the release of their second album, Life Is Peachy , in 1996. On that occasion, the album reached the number 3 position.
For comparison, Korn's previous album, The Nothing (2019), debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200 , with 33,000 sales. In Australia, however, the band achieved number 1 with Requiem – a feat not reached in the country since Issues in 1999.
