Brian “Head” Welch discussed the recording of Korn's next album.
Guitarist Brian “Head” Welch spoke in an interview about the writing and recording process for Korn . “We’re taking our time – taking a break,” he said.
“A month with our families, a few weeks writing in the studio. We’ve already recorded the drums for the songs we’ve written, but I think we’ll write more. The guitars aren’t ready yet. The bass is far from finished. We’ve been playing around with the vocals a bit. But we’re taking our time. We’ll go all in at the beginning of next year and, who knows, maybe we’ll be able to finish everything,” he explained.
Welch also said: “We took the longest break in many years, and it had to be that way. Someone is looking out for us. Jonathan [ Davis , vocalist] went through a tragedy and needed time to focus on other things. So, yes, it's been good, but we're dying to come back. We're cooking everything up. We should be making some announcements early next year.”
Jonathan Davis' wife died in August at the age of 39. The former porn actress struggled with sobriety and substance abuse throughout her life.
