Shortly after the release of Korn 's fourteenth album, Requiem , guitarist Brian "Head" Welch commented on the band's current state – and how occasional disagreements between members do not threaten the group's future.
According to the musician, speaking to radio station 105.5 WDHA (via Blabbermouth ), the band is in a great moment. “You can feel the energy. Everything is synchronizing really well. Everyone’s tired of the nonsense in the music industry. If there’s any disagreement or problem, everyone’s been humbled enough to know that we’re not going to end up like one of those [bands] like Queenrÿche or Ratt – no judgment,” he said.
Welch doesn't dwell on the "quota of lawsuits" within Korn's history, citing his own departure from the band in the past and the temporary absence of bassist Fieldy , but believes the band has reached a point of stability.
“We’re not going to let this end Korn. It’s very special and the fans are very important to us,” he assured. “We’re living our dream, overflowing with gratitude to still be continuing after so many years, (…) it’s just positive energy. And Fieldy played on this album and we’ll overcome [his issues] too,” he concluded.
