The band released a statement.
Korn announced on their official Facebook page this week that bassist Fieldy will be unable to attend the band's South American tour . The band did not detail the reason for his absence, but announced that Robert Trujillo's 12-year-old son, Tye Trujillo, will be filling in for the musician.
See the statement:
"On April 17th, Korn will be heading to South America for several dates in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Fieldy will be unable to attend the shows, so the band will be joined by a very special guest."
Replacing him on bass will be Tye Trujillo, the 12-year-old son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, and member of the band The Helmets. The band comments, 'We're disappointed that Fieldy won't be able to join us, but excited to do some shows with such a young musician as Tye.'
We are looking forward to welcoming our brother Fieldy back when we return to the United States in May.”
