Korn: Jonathan Davis is “physically weak and fighting a mental battle” after COVID-19

The band returned to the stage last weekend, and guitarist Brian Welch commented on his bandmate's health

Two weeks after the news that Jonathan Davis Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch has now updated the band's social media with a video message addressing the singer's health status.

Last weekend, Korn returned to the stage with Davis, who is visibly still feeling the effects of the virus, appearing tired and with a slight cough. In a video posted by Head, the guitarist thanks the Indiana audience and talks about his bandmate: “Jonathan Davis is still dealing with the post-COVID side effects. He’s physically weak and fighting a mental battle. Any kind of love, light, and energy you can send his way – prayers, all of that. We have a few shows coming up, so check the dates, everyone. Whatever show you go to, send love and energy his way, man – he needs you more than ever.”

Jonathan Davis is part of a long list of rock musicians who contracted COVID-19 after resuming their touring schedule, including Bruce Dickinson , Corey Taylor , and Paul Stanley .
