In August, Korn had to postpone some tour dates because lead singer Jonathan Davis tested positive for COVID-19. Two weeks later, guitarist Brian Welch said the singer was " physically weak and fighting a mental battle " due to the side effects of the virus.

In a recent interview, Jonathan spoke for the first time about his experience with COVID-19 and revealed that he went almost a month without eating. When he was able to safely return to the stage, Davis performed sitting on a throne and using oxygen during the shows.

“I was terrified,” the vocalist recounts. “I was freaking out. I was devastated. I couldn’t move, my body just ached. I didn’t eat for almost a month. But thank God it didn’t reach my lungs; that would have terrified me.”

“I survived, I tested negative on the 25th and did a show the next day,” he continues. “I was exhausted, but I couldn’t let it go… I just wanted to keep going because I saw how happy people were to see live music and I didn’t want to disappoint them.”

Other members of Korn also tested positive for COVID-19 during the tour, such as guitarist James Shaffer and drummer Ray Luzier .
