Korn 's return to Brazil transformed Allianz Parque in São Paulo into one of the main hubs for nu-metal in Latin America. After nine years away from the continent, Korn chose the São Paulo capital for the only Brazilian performance of their Latin American tour, marking their biggest show in Brazil. Korn was accompanied by names from the new generation of metal, such as Spiritbox , Seven Hours After Violet, and the Brazilian band Black Pantera , who warmed up the audience on the cold afternoon of last Saturday, the 16th.

Korn is the perfect definition of nu metal, shaping the sound of a generation that eagerly awaited this revival of the style, which brought shows from other bands like Limp Bizkit, System of a Down, Deftones, Slipknot, Mudvayne, and others to Brazil. With Korn, it couldn't be any different; the show was sold out and satisfied the fans who were anxiously awaiting this return.

The crowd arrived early in their Adidas to enjoy all the shows and support the opening bands. They also arrived to avoid any inconvenience, as the security check was lengthy. The production company had already announced that the flow of people entering might be slow, as the checks would be thorough to prevent the entry of fireworks and flares.

Right on time at 9:30 PM, the atmosphere took on another dimension when Jonathan Davis appeared on stage accompanied by Munky (guitar), Head (guitar), Ray Luzier (drums), and guest Ra Díaz (bass), causing absolute chaos to the sound of "Blind" and proclaiming the iconic phrase that gives the tour its name and was shouted by thousands of fans in the venue: "Are you ready?"

The show featured singles from different periods of their career, with a repertoire drawn from their first 7 albums, from their self-titled debut in 1994 to See You on the Other Sidein 2005, transforming the performance into a nostalgic moment.

During tracks like “Here to Stay”, “Falling Away from Me”, “ADIDAS”, and “Freak on a Leash”, the stadium alternated between intense mosh pits and loud choruses from the stands – as the show consisted only of hits, with the exception of the new song “Reward the Scars”, released in April, and the track “Cold”, from the album The Nothing (2019). Also noteworthy is one of the most recognizable moments in a Korn show, when Davis enters with his bagpipes as an introduction to the track “Shoots and Ladders”, which on this occasion included a snippet of Metallica's “One .

The vocalist took a moment to apologize to the fans for the long wait and promised to return soon, such was his emotion at seeing a stadium with 50,000 people singing. Even with the annoying rain, everyone wanted to be part of this iconic new metal party that gave older fans the chance to relive their teenage years and younger fans the opportunity to experience this moment.

The tour's passage through Latin America had been marked by packed arenas and intense fan reception, but it was in São Paulo that Korn felt the energy of a country that intensely lived the nu-metal era and showed how relevant Korn is, in addition to entering the band's history as one of the greatest shows of their career.
