The organizers of Knotfest Brazil announced on Wednesday evening, September 29th, the removal of the band Armored Dawn from the event's lineup, which will take place in the country for the first time in December 2022.
The announcement comes after the scandal involving Prevent Senior, currently under investigation by the government in the COVID CPI for alleged serious irregularities in the treatment of patients during the pandemic. Eduardo Parrillo, known artistically as Eduardo Parras , is the band's vocalist and also one of the partners in the health insurance company.
Last Tuesday, the 27th, the lawyer for former doctors of the institution cited the band Doctor Pheabes , another musical project of Eduardo alongside his brother and partner, Fernando Parrillo, known as "Magrão ," to talk about the "ideology" of Prevent Senior. According to reports, employees "were forced to sing" a hymn created by the businessmen with their hand on their chest at company events.
Recent accusations quickly linked the brand's name to the bands in national media, and internet users began demanding a statement from the festival, which announced its final decision on social media. "KNOTFEST Brasil announces that the Brazilian band Armored Dawn will no longer be part of the festival's lineup to be held in December 2022," the event stated in a press release.
There is still no information about the band that will replace Armored Dawn at the festival. One of the headliners for Knotfest Brazil is also still a secret.
