After a brief 3-week break, VIPER Tuesdays is back! And this time with a full show that went down in VIPER for several reasons:
August 28, 1987 marked the release show for the album Soldiers Of Sunrise , the band's debut album. The quintet, whose first lineup consisted of Andre Matos (vocals), Felipe Machado and Yves Passarell (guitars), Pit Passarell (bass), and Cássio Audi (drums), was responsible for the complete production of the show.
Members of the VIPER band and technical crew mobilized to rent the Teatro do Colégio Rio Branco, a traditional school in São Paulo.
They hired a stage, sound and lighting equipment, produced flyers, printed tickets, did the advertising, put up posters all over the city, and finally, sold all the available tickets. Tickets that cost Cz$100.00 (one hundred cruzados).

But what truly marked this historic show was the torch that Andre Matos always carried during VIPER's performances.
Sometimes during "The Whipper," sometimes during "Soldiers Of Sunrise," Andre would enter with a flaming torch to energize the crowd. On that particular day, during the performance of the title track, a piece of the torch broke off, and a fire was nearly started .
Now, all this history and the 10 songs that were played on that historic day can be seen in the 6th season of VIPER Tuesdays!
The show begins with the iconic “Knights Of Destruction,” the opening track from the band's debut album:
