Last Friday, the 1st, KK's Priest released their highly anticipated debut album, Sermons Of The Sinner , which can now be purchased at the Wikimetal . In a recent interview, founder KK Downing spoke about the differences in the songwriting process in his solo band and during his time with Judas Priest , and stated that a new KK's Priest album is already in the works.
“If I think it’s good, then it goes on the album. If I think it’s bad, it doesn’t. I prefer to ask myself and not have other people’s opinions. I’m very proud of everything I’ve done as a songwriter with Glenn [ Tipton ] and Rob [ Halford ] – extremely proud – but I like it that way, to be honest. I prefer it that way because I feel I’m the Priest loyal to metal,” said Downing (transcription via Blabbermouth ).
The guitarist also said he is “100% true” to the music he makes and stated that he is already working on a new KK's Priest album. “I’m already well advanced with the [second] album and it’s sounding good – it’s sounding very good as a continuation of Sermons Of The Sinner . The story continues in KK's Priest the way I think it should and I like that. I’m very, very happy with that. I’m happy now.”
