KK Downing participated in The Wikimetal Happy Hour Wikimetal co-founder Nando Machado about the new KK's Priest and future plans, and of course, about his departure from Judas Priest.

The guitarist recounted the story behind his departure from the group, claiming that "everyone had agreed to leave the band, but they changed their minds and continued." He says that Judas Priest decided to retire and do one last farewell tour, but he didn't want to be part of it. "I didn't want to do a tour that I knew I wouldn't enjoy doing," he said.

KK said it was a surprise to him when the band decided to continue working together, but now he admits to getting over it and is already writing and recording for the second album of the KK's Priest project, which will follow the recently released Sermons of the Sinner.
