Paul Stanley , the frontman of Kiss , revealed that the band is working on a five-part documentary about their farewell tour, End of the Road . This final leg of shows ended on December 2nd of last year at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The artist shared the news about the documentary production by posting a photo of his wife , Erin , being interviewed for the film. In the caption, the musician wrote: “Wow… My beautiful wife Erin was interviewed today for a five-part documentary about our last tour. I feel blessed.” However, besides this information, no further details about the upcoming film are known so far.
Gene Simmons on Kiss's last tour
In an interview with Rolling Stone last year, the band's bassist, Gene Simmons , insisted that the closing show of the End Of The Road tour would, in fact, be the band's last. "I say here and now, with my hand on the Bible, that this will be the last time Kiss appears in makeup," he stated.
The musician also spoke about the reasons for the band taking a break at this time. “It has nothing to do with ticket sales or anything like that. It has to do with Mother Nature. And at a certain point, you have to understand that it will be a point of diminishing returns because of the kind of band we are.”.
“I’m wearing seven-inch platform boots shaped like dragons, each weighing as much as a lightweight bowling ball, armor, studs, leather, all of that, and it weighs about 40 kilos in total. And I have to breathe fire and fly through the air, and everything else, and I have to do it for two hours,” he continued.
