KISS is set to continue "in other ways" after their farewell tour.

Despite the band confirming their retirement, Gene Simmons spoke of future plans.

KISS continues on the road with The End of The Road , announced as the band's farewell to the stage, but Gene Simmons explained that this will not be the absolute end of activities in the KISS universe.

Despite not changing his mind about retirement, as Paul Stanley had already guaranteed , the bassist still intends to explore new possibilities to keep the band's legacy alive, as he stated in an interview on the Let There Be Talk (via Blabbermouth ). “KISS as a touring band will stop. But only the touring band. KISS will continue in other ways. I have no problem with four guys deserving of 20 years wearing makeup and hiding their own identities,” he said.

These potential projects with newcomers carrying the band's iconic personas haven't been defined yet. “KISS will continue in ways I haven't even thought of yet. But I can conceive of something [like the shows of] Blue Man Group and Phantom of the Opera around the world with different casts. There could and should be a KISS show, kind of live on stage with effects and everything, but also a bit autobiographical,” he continued. “Not with us [on stage]. Although it wouldn't be a problem to show up from time to time.”

We at Wikimetal attended KISS's farewell shows in Brazil, in Porto Alegre and São Paulo . You can check out both reviews and full photo galleries on our website.
