KISS reunited last weekend for the first time since the band's breakup in 2023 on their farewell tour, End of the Road Kiss Army fan club .
Titled KISS Army Storms Vegas , the event took place last Saturday and Sunday, November 14-16, at the Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, and featured the complete KISS : vocalist and guitarist Paul Stanley , bassist Gene Simmons , guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer .
Without makeup and typical costumes, the band gave an acoustic performance on Saturday, and before starting, Paul Stanley addressed the audience to propose a moment of silence in memory of Ace Frehley , who died on October 16. “Before we begin, we wanted to take a moment to think about someone who is the foundation of this band. And we’re talking about Ace. Of course, we had our differences, but that’s what family means. And why don’t we take a moment, a little silence, to think of him watching over us. Probably from [planet] Jendell, and let’s pay tribute to
Ace? Light candles,” said Paul. Fans raised electric candles while chanting “Ace! Ace! Ace!” in chorus, in an emotional tribute to the founding guitarist.
On the second day of the event, the band delivered an electrifying show that featured former guitarist Bruce Kulick , who joined the band for the final two songs. Kulick was part of KISS in 1984 and remained the band's lead guitarist for 12 years, touring with the band on the Animalize and continuing with the band until their 1996 reunion tour.
KISS Army Storms Vegas featured special guest appearances throughout the two days. Bands like Quiet Riot, Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini performing songs from Ratt , School Of Rock , and Sebastian Bach also performed.
