The catalog, brand, and intellectual property of Kiss were sold to the Swiss entertainment company Pophouse for an estimated US$300 million, approximately R$1.5 billion at the current exchange rate.

The agreement was made to help further develop and expand Kiss's legacy globally, as well as preserve their image and music for future generations.

Pophouse is an investment company known for developing brand-building activities in the music and entertainment sphere, such as the groundbreaking ABBA Voyage in London.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and the band members will continue to play an active role in the development of upcoming projects such as a biopic, an avatar show , and a Kiss-themed experience. These projects are already underway.

“We’ve always innovated in popular culture, and this partnership will ensure we continue to do so for years to come,” said Kiss bassist and co-founder Gene Simmons about the deal. “Because what Pophouse is doing is breaking rules.”

Co-founder and vocalist Paul Stanley added: “Our journey with Pophouse is fueled by a desire to resonate eternally across diverse facets of global culture. As we embark on this adventure, we aim to weave our legacy into the tapestry of different worlds, ensuring that the KISS experience continues to captivate both our devoted fans and those who have yet to discover the thrill.”

The partnership with Kiss marks Pophouse's second investment outside of Sweden. The first was the acquisition of Cyndi Lauper's catalog.
