KISS: Gene Simmons and Gibson will release new guitar and bass collections.

The first instrument in the collection was already debuted by the artist at KISS's New Year's Eve show.

Gene Simmons , vocalist and bassist of KISS , announced that he will be teaming up with Gibson to release a series of new electric guitars and basses.

The collaboration between the artist and the legendary instrument brand will be called , and will launch new collections of Epiphone and Kramer as well as develop original content for social media.

The first instrument to be released, later this year, is the G² Thunderbird Bass , available in two versions (see image of both below), and which was already debuted by Simmons during the band's extravagant New Year's Eve performance.

“I’ve been designing bass guitars for decades, and when I heard Gibson’s vision and learned about his creative process, it made sense for us to join forces to take things to the next level,” he says in the promotional video for the collection.

“Gibson is an exceptional company and has earned its place as a leading guitar brand with fans all over the world,” he continues. “The design is so beautiful and collectible that they are simply works of art.”
