Gene's wife says the band refused
TMZ caught up with Gene Simmons on a night out with his wife and daughter and took the opportunity to ask the musician if Kiss will be playing at his presidential inauguration, scheduled for January 20th.
In the video, which can be seen below (without subtitles), the wife and daughter quickly say that the band will not be playing at the event. Simmons eventually replies: “I think people should accept that he’s our president and life goes on. End of story ,” and then says that the band will be playing in Europe.
According to his wife, Kiss was invited to play at the opening, but the band "politely declined.".
