The retirement of Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons doesn't necessarily mean the end of Kiss – and perhaps the brand will be sold to a commercial conglomerate, if the predictions of a former catalog consultant for the band are correct.

“Each incarnation of Kiss is unique in its own way, and there are things I appreciate in all of them,” commented Robert V. Conte in an interview with Vinyl Writer Music (via Loudwire ) . “As long as Gene and Paul remain with the group, I’d rather Kiss continue in some form than stop completely. However, don’t be surprised if the brand is ever sold to some large conglomerate when the two decide to retire.”

In the consultant's view, the band has a brand as powerful as "iconic characters" like Mickey Mouse and Batman . "Kiss should outlive those who kept the flame alive, so to speak," he summarized.

Currently, the band is preparing to return to the stage and finalize the schedule for The End of The Road Tour , announced as the band's last tour, at least with the founding members.
