Kiss 's manager , Dog McGhee End of the Road farewell tour will conclude in 2023. The performances, which began in 2019 and were scheduled to end in 2021, had to be postponed due to the pandemic.
Rock City podcast , he commented: “One thing about Kiss is that we’ve always been that band that goes to places where most bands don’t go. So we play in everyone’s city. Give it a name and you’ll see we play there. So we always go where the people are. The reason we’re continuing to do this last leg of the tour is because obviously the pandemic prevented us from finishing. And the fact that people wanted to see us. But we have to stop at some point, which will be this year” (transcription via Blabbermouth ).
The final show is expected to take place in the band's hometown of New York, and there are plans to invite former members Ace Frehley , Peter Criss , and Vinnie Vincent to participate, despite their disagreements with current leaders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons .
In April, Kiss will arrive in Brazil for shows in Manaus, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, and Florianópolis. Their last visit to the country was back in 2022.
End of the Road wasn't the band's first farewell tour. The Farewell tour , which took place between 2000 and 2002, had been announced at the time as their last. However, the band ended up returning, without Frehley and Criss. Recently, Simmons revealed what qualities the guitarist and drummer lacked to remain in Kiss .
Dog McGhee also said that he doesn't know what the future holds for Kiss, but that Gene and Stanley enjoy traveling the world performing and have recognized that it's time to stop.
“For me, Kiss is like Marvel. There are all sorts of things that can happen with Kiss and probably will happen. So it’s a whole new boundary that starts in 2024,” said the businessman.
Simmons even said that the farewell tour will not be the absolute end of activities in the Kiss universe , however, the aftermath plans will not be as fun as the shows .
