Gene Simmons KISS 's show in Manaus last Wednesday, the 12th. The band interrupted the show after the bassist showed signs of not feeling well.

The show is part of the Monsters of Rock in the country, which brought KISS, Scorpions , and Sepultura for a special edition at the Arena da Amazônia.

The band was the main attraction of the night, and the performance went past midnight when Simmons "asked the stagehands to bring him a chair. He stopped playing and remained motionless on stage," according to g1 .

When he realized what was happening, frontman Paul Stanley asked for the show to be stopped. “Hold on, we need to stop. Gene is feeling unwell and we need to stop for a bit to take care of him because we love him, right? We’ll be right back,” he explained to the audience.

According to g1 , the event organizers asked the audience to wait while Gene Simmons was taken backstage. After some time, the band returned to the stage and continued the show, with the bassist recovered. "Manaus, everything's fine! Thank you," he said to the fans.

This was Simmons' band's first time in the capital of Amazonas. Now, the band is heading to four more shows in Brazil: Brasília (April 18th), Belo Horizonte (April 20th), São Paulo (April 22nd at Monsters of Rock), and Florianópolis (April 25th). Learn more here .
