Kiss will be the next rock band to get a biopic about their career . The project has been finalized with Netflix and will have an exclusive theatrical release before arriving on the streaming platform's catalog.
The confirmation of the two-phase release came from Doc McGhee , the band's manager, who also confirmed the decades represented in the film during an interview on the Talking Metal .
“I think it’s a very interesting look at the formation of Kiss, the mentality of how it all happened, the social pressure that was on everyone in the 1960s and 1970s, which brought something like Kiss into the spotlight, made something like that possible,” he commented (via Brave Words ). “So it’s a very interesting film, and I think it’s a well-written film. And our partner now is Netflix. It will be a theatrical release, so Netflix.”
Titled Shout It Loud , the film is scheduled for release in 2022, but there is still no further information about the cast or release date. The project will be directed by Joachim Rønning , director of films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil , with a screenplay by Ole Sanders .
