Kiss: Deal for Netflix biopic of the band is "almost closed"

The film reportedly had the director of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and involved Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.

Kiss may be the next band to have their story turned into a film. Following the success of movies like The Dirt , about Mötley Crüe , and Bohemian Rhapsody , about Queen , the band may close a deal with Netflix for the project.

According to the specialized website Deadline , the deal for the band's biopic is "almost closed." The film would be directed by Joachim Rønning , of films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil , with a screenplay by Ole Sanders .

Sources cited by the portal indicate that the project will be called Shout It Out Loud and will involve Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley throughout the process, with the duo's story at the center of the narrative.

“The project is moving quickly,” the website assures. “There are sufficient reasons to imagine that Netflix and Kiss will use the synergy of a major biopic to celebrate their final days on stage, more than 50 years after Simmons and Stanley joined forces.”

It was recently revealed that a documentary about drummer Eric Carr is in development.
