The band is currently on tour
Kirk Hammett, guitarist for Metallica, said in an interview on The Jasta Show that he already has 500 new ideas for the band's new album.
In 2014, Hammett confessed to losing his cell phone containing the new songs for the album Hardwired… To Self Destruct , and today he reveals he is still upset about it.
“I went through that whole thing of losing my phone with 500 new song ideas, and I still haven’t recovered from it. My way of overcoming what happened is to overcompensate. I had 500 ideas on that phone, and I have about 500 ideas now. I have some ideas that seem like really good songs (…) Every day I’m picking up my guitar and thinking about those ideas.”
The guitarist is not credited on any of the songs from the latest album.
