In an interview with 89 Rádio Rock, Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett spoke about a possible new collaboration with Lady Gaga. After Lars Ulrich claimed that the partnership would certainly happen again and James Hetfield said no, Hammett remained undecided:

"We are very different people, so it was very, very interesting to work with her."

When she showed up for rehearsal, she knew her parts, she knew all the notes, she was very, very professional. And that impressed us a lot because we've been in situations where we were like, 'Ugh, how is this going to work? Should we just give up?'

But with Lady Gaga, the minute she came on stage, it was really cool.

I don't know what will happen in the future. I think it's a bit of a stretch to say that we'll definitely do something. But maybe we will, maybe we won't. But I think we're very busy at the moment.
