“Heart and Soul” will be included on Schenker’s upcoming album, Resurrection.
Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett Resurrection , which is released on March 2nd.
Recently, Schenker told Revolver that he recorded the track's solo at Hammett's studio in Hawaii. "Kirk is a fan, but he's also become a friend ," he commented about the collaboration between the two artists .
In a 2008 interview with Rolling Stone, Hammett stated that the way Schenker played UFO's "Mother Mary" changed his entire guitar playing style. "He didn't rely on blues solos ," he said. "He played with scales that felt almost classical, and rhythmically he was off the charts. From that day on, UFO became my favorite band in the whole world.
