King Diamond kicked off his highly anticipated Saint Lucifer's Hospital 1920 on Tuesday night, the 15th, at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The band is supported by Overkill and Night Demon . Backing vocals will be provided by special guest Myrkur , who will be responsible for “playing organ for the songs that need it,” according to the vocalist (via Blabbermouth ).

When the tour was announced, the vocalist commented (via Blabbermouth ) that the horror story is "still growing" and that he knows how it will end, but that it will be a long journey.
“It’s a crazy family in an alternate timeline in the 1920s, where I experienced hard times, and they have to come to our time to rob us in order to survive.” He also states that both the story and the stage production are the “most elaborate things” they have ever done.
The vocalist says they are “not responsible” for the “horrific surprises” the show will have, after all, “we are in a completely different timeline in 1920. A time when medicine was going through a dark period, where various human experiments were carried out to advance medicine,” he concludes.
