King Diamond has announced the release of a comic book inspired by the 1987 album Abigail , in partnership with Z2 Comics. Diamond joins forces with White Noise Studios writer Dan Watters and October Faction artist Damien Worm LaFey family .
Speaking about the new project, the musician said: “A comic book based on one of my stories is a dream come true. Working with a company like Z2 and writer Dan Watters, and graphic artist Damien Worm, is to have a project of the highest caliber anyone could wish for. Not only our own fans, but any fan of the genre will appreciate the darkness and terror of this project. I simply can't wait to present it to you personally as we approach Halloween. Abigail has risen.”
Abigail comic book will be released on Halloween 2021, with special deluxe and super deluxe editions available for pre-order here . One version includes the vinyl album with an alternative cover, limited to 2,500 copies.
