Killswitch Engage releases song about mental health; listen to “I Am Broken Too”

"I just want people to feel that they're not alone in this fight," said the band's vocalist

Killswitch Engage has released another single from their new album Atonement . The track, "I Am Broken Too," addresses mental health, a problem that vocalist Jesse Leach suffers from and openly discusses his struggles with.

“This song is very personal to me,” he said, “I wanted whoever was listening to feel the urgency, the weight of this subject, as well as a possible connection. Many people suffer from some form of mental illness. I just want them to feel that they are not alone in this struggle.”

“I Am Broken Too” follows “Unleashed” , the first single from Atonement , which will be released on August 16th, marking the group's eighth studio album. Part of the money raised from the sale and streaming of the new track will be donated to Hope for the Day , a Chicago-based NGO that focuses on suicide prevention.
