Check out the official statement from the production company:

"With immense satisfaction, we announce the last international act to be confirmed for DREAMFESTIVAL São Paulo 2019: KILLSWITCH ENGAGE!

It took a while, but we are certain that having KSE perform all their classics, as well as material from their most recent and incredible album, Atonement , released in August of this year, will further enrich the event's lineup. KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's performance at DREAMFESTIVAL São Paulo marks the band's return to the country after a five-year wait and will be exclusive to Brazil in 2019, a unique opportunity for everyone traveling from other cities and states to attend the event."

Killswitch Engage has shaken the foundations of heavy metal since emerging from the cold, industrialized western part of Massachusetts, USA, in 1999. Musically isolated, the band pioneered a blend of European thrash guitar pyrotechnics with the spirit of East Coast hardcore, humorous live performances, and sophisticated lyrics, revolutionizing metal at the turn of the century. Their 2002 album, “Alive Or Just Breathing,” was hailed as a genre-defining work, included among the “100 best heavy metal albums of the decade” by Decibel magazine, and revered by publications such as Metal Hammer and Revolver.

They not only opened doors for dozens of bands that adopted their style, but also earned two GRAMMY Award nominations in the "Best Metal Performance" category in 2005 and 2014. Two KSE albums, The End of Heartache (2004) and As Daylight Dies (2006), achieved "Gold" status in the United States. Three of their releases reached the top 10 on the Billboard Top 200. Their two most recent releases reached #1 on the Top Rock Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. On digital platforms, their music has surpassed half a billion streams to date.

Throughout their career, the band has shared stages with some of the biggest bands in the world and participated in numerous sold-out tours of prestigious venues across six continents.

2019 marks the beginning of a new era for KSE. The quintet – Adam Dutkiewicz [guitar], Joel Stroetzel [guitar], Mike D'Antonio [bass], Justin Foley [drums], and Jesse Leach [vocals] – deepened all aspects of their signature sound on their eighth album, their first for Metal Blade, “Atonement”. The band's show at DREAMFESTIVAL is sure to be one of the most anticipated of the night.
